Refreshments will be served -f and thero will be a program of music and addresses. -f THE COMMITTEE. ft One thousand of the above invitations invita-tions will be mailed out this morning morn-ing to the heads of households in this city and those receiving one of the requests re-quests will have the opportunity of attending one of the most instructive meetings ever held In 03den. It will I be nn exhibition of foodstuffs manufactured manu-factured or packed In Ogden and Immediate Im-mediate vicinity and will be held under un-der the auspices of the Utah Homo Industry association, of which an Ogden Og-den branch will be formed Immediately Immediate-ly aftor this, the first reception. Mjs. Olive Havens, of Salt Lake, president of the association, arrived In tho city yesterday to make the final 'arrangements for the big reception. This morning she will meet with a number of the public-spirited women of Oqdcn at the Weber club rooms at 10 o'clock to name the reception committee, com-mittee, program committee and refreshment re-freshment committee. The featurp of the reception will bo the refreshments which will consist entirely en-tirely of Ogdon products and there will be many exhibits by local foodstuff food-stuff manufacturers. Many of the manufacturers are making preparations prepara-tions to demonbtrate their goods. Thore will be no admittance fee charged charg-ed nnd for that reason tho ladles Interested In-terested will call upon tho manufacturers manufac-turers and others for assistance Already Al-ready tho firm of Snlvoly & Hendry have donated the use of electric lighting light-ing fixtures and tho Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone company a telephone. All manufacturers who have not been seen by tho committer aud wish to have an exhibit at tho reception are requested to communicate with J. S Carvor. A pleasing feature of the reception each evening will be the program, which will consist of speeches and musical selections. " |
