Show RHODES SCHOLARS GOOD AT SPORTS London, March 25, Tho annual In-ter-varslty sports of Oxford aud Cambridge Cam-bridge were held, at Queen's olub today. to-day. G. E. Putnam, a Rhodes scholar, schol-ar, at Oxford from Kansas, was an easy winner in the hammer throw, beating tho 'varsity record with a mark of 153 icet, 3 Inches W. A Zelgler from Icwa, also of tho Oxford team, was second, with a throw of 131 foot one inch. R. L. Lango of Oklahoma, a third Rhodes scholar, who was oxpectod to credit Oxford with tho 100-yard dash, was beaten by McMillln of Cambridge by half a yard. .McMlllIn's tlino was 10 seconds. A ytjar ago Putnam won tho hammer ham-mer throw, making 14C feet 3 Inches. Zelglor captured tho weight event today, to-day, with 38 feet 6 Inches.
