Show uu PLAIN m NOTES Plain City, Jan 4. A farmers' organization or-ganization was completed here last night, at a meeting Jield for that purpose. pur-pose. A constitution was adopted, a membership enrolled, and officers elected for one year. Following is the constitution: 1. The name of this organization shall be the Inturmountnin Farmers' Protective Association of Plain City. 2. The object of tins association is to safeguard the Interests and Improve Im-prove the financial conditions of its members: (a) To this end it will employ, from time to time, as the need may arloo, Its most earnest and careful endeavors to promote and maintain such relations between its members and those with whom they might deal and trade as shall prove to be pleasant und profitable to both. ' (b) Also, It will strive to develop such conditions and understandings as will admit of sales and" purchases, lnolvlng whatever product or commodity com-modity they ma, belnp negotiated boing negotiated between Its members mem-bers and others, in a spirit of fairness fair-ness and concluded at prices equally mindful of and consistent with the profit and well being of both 3. Any farmer who believes In the objects of this association and who is willing to cooperate with Its members mem-bers In their efforts to realize the same may become a member by subscribing sub-scribing his name to the constitution and bjlaws by paying Into the treasury treas-ury of this association an annual membership fee of 50 cents. 4. Tho officers of this association shall be a president, a vice president, a secretary and a treasurer, and their duties shnll be those which are common com-mon to such officers in organizations of this kind. Each of these officers shall be elected for n term of one ear. or until his successor qualifies ( The terms of these officers shall be gin on the first Tuesday of January ?of each year. 5. Regular meetings of this association, asso-ciation, must be hold on the first Tuesday of every month, commencing on-tHo third day of January, 1911; 'but special meetings may be called at any time. (n) Calls for special meetings must be mado by posting notices to that effect, signed by an officer of this association, in several conspicuous conspicu-ous places in Plain City at least ono day In advance of the time sot for sjjch meetings. C. Ten members of this association associa-tion shall constitute a quorum, nnd as such they shall have the right to transact business In the name of and for the association at any of its meetings. meet-ings. ,7 Tho constitution and bylaws of this association can be changed by two-thirds of the members present at any meeting of the association, provided pro-vided that five days' notice bv mail shall havo benu given to each member mem-ber of such proposed changes The following officers were also elected for a term of ono year James W.
