Show Strawberry Valley Project Pro-ject Fares Well in Report Re-port of Engineers Washington, Jan. 5. President Taft submitted to congress today the report of the Bpecial board of army engineers appointed b him last Juue, as a result of legislation passed that mouth, to examine the various reclamation recla-mation jnojects upon which work had been stnrted by the government and lo recommend which of them should be glen a share in the $20,000,000 of certificates of Indebtedness authorized author-ized by the same act, which gac the President power to appoint such n board J The board has recommended and tho President has approved the al-,1 al-,1 lotmeui of tlo money among tho following fol-lowing projects: Salt river, Arizona, $195,000; Yuma, Ari70na, and Cnllfornla, ?1,200,000; Grand Valley, Colorado, $1,000,000, Ucompahgro, Colorado, $1,500,000; Payette, Boise, Idaho, $2,000,000; Milk River. Montana, $1,000,000, North Platte. Wyoming, and Nebraska, $2,-000,000; $2,-000,000; Truckee. Carson, Nevada, $1,193,000; Rio Qrnude, Now Mexico, Texas and Mexico, $-1,500,000. Umatilla. Umat-illa. Oregon. $325000; Klamath, Oregon Ore-gon and California, ?C00,000; Strawberry Straw-berry Valley, Utah, $2,272,000: Sunny-side-Yakima, Washington, $1,250,000; and TIclon, Washington, $CG5,000 The board also made a tontatlve allotment among various projects of the general reclamation fund for tho years 1911 to 191-1, Inclusive. This is to supplement the $20,000,000 loan and to carry on projects which do not participate in the distribution of tho loan. North Platte, $2,185,000; Truckee-Car-son, $1,594,000; Rio Grande, $1,S55,-000; $1,S55,-000; 'Missouri pumping, $270,000; Bel-lefourche. Bel-lefourche. $4S0,0OO; Okanogan, $13,-000, $13,-000, and Shoshone, $2,000,000. Of theso amounts allotted to Grnnd Valley. Lower Yellowstone and Missouri Mis-souri pumping plants are conditional. The total amount of this fund will bp $25.351,S97.
