Show WOMAN BECOMES BACTERIOLOGIST New York, Feb. 20 Arthur Ncvln, the composer, has recoived word from Paris of his wife's appointmeut by the Pasteur institute as a bacteriologist. bacteriol-ogist. The appointment, a covoted scientific honor, gives her the d,egreo of M. D. -v Mrs. Nevin has been studying bnc-terlology bnc-terlology for years, at first merely as a hobby, and later as a more serious seri-ous pursuit. Her particular specialty special-ty Is diseases of tho throat and lungs. She studied at Washington, among other places, and since last September Septem-ber has been working under Professor Profes-sor Metchnlkoff at the Pastour Institution Insti-tution in Paris. She Is returning to America next month. |
