No. 2. duo at 9:15 this morning, did not make its appearance nnd is being held by tho brenk in tho track. A work train was sent to tho flood district Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon, and It was expected expect-ed that tho line would bo opened by this morning, but the nature of the washout Is such thnt a great amount of work is necessary to repair tho break. Southern Pacific tralnB are delayed de-layed by a landslide whlcih occurred on tho Sacramento division, wost of Sparks. Trains No. C and No. 10 arrived ar-rived in Ogdcn this morning eight hours late. Other trains from tho wost are also bclntcd by tho conditions condi-tions prevailing on the Sacramento division. Union Pacific and Denver Rio Grande trains from the east are but slightly delayed and no serious wnsh-outs wnsh-outs or flood obstructions aro reported report-ed on either of these lines. Tho San Pedro lino Is still tied up by the washouts in Meadow Valley and trains are" still being detourcd. It Is feared that this tleup of the Clark line will prevent tho Elks from loavlng Salt Lafce City nnd Ogdon on their annual-excursion to Los An-gclos. An-gclos. An effort Is now being made to secure a permit from tho Interstate Inter-state commerce commission to run tho excursion over the Southern Pacific Pa-cific lines, without any change In the rate of tickets. Unless such a permit per-mit Is granted, the excursion will bo impossible. It Is reported that COO tickets? havo been sold for the trip. The sale of tickets has boon suspended, sus-pended, pending an answer from the commission. nn |
