Show TESTIMONY IN THE DIETZ CASB Hayward, Wis , May 5 In the trial of John Dletz for murder, the first witness claimed that he was standing at the edge of the woods at Cameron dam during tho exchange of shots between Inmates of the Dietz cabin and officers who laid siege to Dletz stronghold. The witness Suden testified that ho saw Dletz come out of tho cabin and fire four shots whilo Leslie, the deputy, dep-uty, was running under the fusillade. Ole Bredesen testified he saw Dletz run from the cabin to tho barn Albert Bredesen, another spectator, said he heard reports as if they came from the cabin. Several other witnesses gave similar simi-lar testimony Rowland Ackley, a deputy, who was with Harp, Pomer-lee Pomer-lee and McWhortor during the siege of the Dletz cabin, said he heard three reports from the barn and saw three deputies get up. and run, leaving a dark object bohlnd them. |
