Show Crews Work On Cache Roads State Projects Are Underway Several of the main road projects pro-jects to be conducted this year in Cache county by the state roac commission will begin soon, Knuc J. Fonnesbeck, supervisor for the Logan district, reported today. Crews now are applying crushed gravel to about six miles of the road from Clarkston to Newton in preparation for oiling which will be done this fall if oil is available. Gravelling of about six miles of the road from Cache Junction to the Valley View highway will begin the first of this week. This road also will be oiled if possible. Another resurfacing project which will begin immediately is about four miles of road from the Logan-Cache airport to Benson, Ben-son, Mr. Fonnesbeck said. The project also is scheduled for fall oiling. About, August 1, crews will begin be-gin applying rock asphalt to the the west lane of Smithfield main street. The new coating will be applied to one side of the street over the entire length of Main street. During recent weeks, Mr. Fon-nebbeck Fon-nebbeck said, crews have Been reDaiilne rough spotfe in tht jiled Logan canyon and Sardine janyon highways. The work oi ,-esealing and relaying oil in Logan Lo-gan canyon will continue foi oome time until all repairs have jeen made, he said. |
