Walgreen, Chicago Chi-cago horticultural enthusiast. iThe girl won first place in the 1939 county lunior flower ctarden con- "test, and second place on flowers In the open class. She has stimu- ilated a clean-up and remodeling ; ! program on her parenis' farm, drawn up a scale drawing of the , ,home grounds and made a plan for future planting. She has helped j start a windbreak, planted a flower garden, shrubs and bulbs, and "placed trellises in the garden. She will compete for the Western sectional award of a trip to the j '20th National 4-H Club Congress to be held In Chicago Nov. 28-Dec. 6. , |
