Show LEWISTON i , Lewiston Mrs. Emma Cornish secreary of the Lewiston First ward Relief Society was guest of honor at a party given Thursday night in the Relief Society and recreational rooms. President Verna Hyer was in charge. Singing, "Redeemer "Re-deemer of Israel" and "Our Mountain Moun-tain Home So Dear". These songs were selected by Mrs. Cornish as her favorites. Invocation was by Bishop Don Lewis. President Verna Hyer paid tribute of love and respect re-spect for the long and efficient services of Emma as secretary of the Relief Society. For twelve years Emma has been secretary, serving I under three Dresidents. Margaret Rogers, Elzira Kemp and Verna Hyer. In 1910, before trie lesson outlines were given by the general board of the Relief Society, Emma made lesson outlines which were used as a study course by the First ward Relief Society until the lesson outlines were published in the magazine. A beautiful table lamp was presented by President Hyer to Emma as a token of love and respect. A talk was given by Emma Cornish In which she expressed ex-pressed her appreciation for the Relief Society work and for the opportunities it had presented to ' her to render service to the sisters of the organization. She expressed her appreciation for the token of respect presented to her. Reading, "Handful of Clay" by Henry Van Dyke, given by Mrs. LaPreal Hyer. Hy-er. Benediction was by Merl Hyer. The group then went to the recreational re-creational room where they enjoyed enjoy-ed a series of games directed by Dr. and Mrs. Ezra Cragun. A delicious de-licious luncheon was served by Eulalia Taggart and Ruey Hyde. Those present were the guest of j honor Emma Cornish, the bishop-I bishop-I ric and their partners, and Relief Society officers and the partners. Mrs. Dessie Boman and Mrs. Marietta Bergeson were hostesses at the final meeting of the he of the Jeanette Brlnkerhofl-to"-camp of the Daughters ot i Utah Pioneers, held Thursdaj : the Relief Society room.
