Show Road Commission Makes Patrol Appointments W. D. Hammond, Chairman of the State Road commission, has announced the apointment of ten new men to the highway patrol. Of these, six are additions to the patrol and four are replacements. The appointments are as follows: Eldi'idge W. Wood, Willard, Box Elder vounty; Arhtur Rsed Col-lard, Col-lard, Fountain Green, Sanpete comity; Nephi Men-ill Johnson, Kanab, Kane County; Neldon S. Evans, Lehi, Kenenth E: Harris, Har-ris, Pleasant Grove, and Edward H. Sandgren, Provo, Utah county; Theodore C. London, Croydon, Morgan county; Joseph W. Dudler, Kennilworth, and Nicholas . :S. Thomas, Consumers, Carbon county; coun-ty; and Samuel B. Hatch, Vernal, Ver-nal, Uintah county. This makes a total of 18 patrolmen, pa-trolmen, including replacements, appointed to the patrol this year, bringing the patrol personnel to 67, and practically completing the recommendations of the International Interna-tional Association of Chiefs of Police Po-lice in so far as additions to the patrol were concerned. The new appointees have reported for duty and have received then-assignments then-assignments and instructions from Superintendent R. W. Groo. The sergeants in charge of the various districts will give additional help to the new men, nstructing them in polce methods and practce. It is expected that a school for patrolmen will be conducted sometime some-time in the near future as soon as instructors are available. |
