Miner Named to Head Department Dr. M. L. Miner, former head of the branch veterinary science laboratory at Provo, has been named acting head of the department depart-ment of veterinary science at Utah State Agricultural college, according to Dr. Franklin S. Harris, Har-ris, college president. Dr. Miner, a 1937 graduate of USAC, succeeds Dr. C. W. Riggs, who resigned to establish a private pri-vate practice in Yuba City, Calif. The new veterinary official received re-ceived his doctor of veterinary medicine at Iowa State college and later became a staff member at Michigan State college, where he did research work in poultry diseases. He has acted as head of the branch veterinary laboratory in Provo since January, 1944. i
