Show State Fair to Open Labor Day The Utah State Fair Victory exposition, which opens L:bor day, September 3, and continues through September 11, will climax a record year of war production in the industrial in-dustrial fields and provide visitors with a preview of post-war products, pro-ducts, according to Sheldon R. Brewster, seeretary.manager. A spectacular grandstand revue, featuring Hollywood entertainers, is scheduled for the evenings of September 3-9 at 8:30 p. m. Af-ternon Af-ternon grandstand shows will be held September 3, 4 and 9 at 3:00 p. m. Included in the score of thrilling acts will be the Marion Rankin Dancers; Darby and Ar-dell, Ar-dell, perch and balance act; "The Butterfly" high trapeze act; and Goebel's Lions and Tigers. "The Three Saints," a ladios trio, just returned from a nine months USO tour, and Lloyd Hust and his Wonder Won-der Dogs and Utah acts to be featured in the show. Each evening even-ing revue will be brought to a dazzling close by a giant display of fireworks, including the impressive "atomic bombing of Japan." Horse racing and horse pulling hold prominent places in the 1945 fair schedule and promise' to display dis-play some of Utah's finest horses. Horse pulling will be held September Septem-ber 10 and 11 at 7:00 p. m. in front of the grandstand, while the horse races will be held at 3:30 p. m. on the afternoons of September Sep-tember 5 to 11.
