Show CASUALTIES OF WAR REPORTED War casualty reports have been extremely heavy in Cache county during the past few days Private First Class Kenneth Morse, son of B. H. Morse of Logan, killed in action in France. Private First Class Conan K. Binftham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bingham of Logan, missing in action in Luxem. bourg. Sergeant Thomas H. Wyatt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Wyatt, Wellsville, wounded in action Over Germany. Private First Class Melvin C. ! ..Schiers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schiers, of Logan, wounded in action in Belgium. Private First Class Frank G. Federico, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Frederico of Smithfield, wounded in action in Belgium. Private First Class Paul G. Cardon, 34, son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Cardon, Logan, killed in action in Germany. Private First Class Jack D. Boyle, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Boyle, Logan, killed in action on Leyte. Private First Class Lonzo Wheeler, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Ray Wheeler, Logan, killed in action on Layte, Lieutenant Frank W. Jones, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Jones, Logan, missing in action over Germany. Private Eldon G. Palmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Palmer, Logan, wounded in action in Germany. Private First Class Morse, 25, son of B. H. Morse of Logan, who lived most of his life in Preston,, was . killed December 20 while fighting with an infantry unit in France. Previously he was reported report-ed missing. A native of Smithfi eld, he was born May 26, 1919 a' son of B. H. and Alice Merrill Morse. He attended school at Trenton and North Cache high school at Richmond, Rich-mond, before entering the army December 3, 1941. He trained at Camp Roberts and Fort Ord, Cal.,' and Fort Lewis, Wash., before going overseas. Private First Class Morse par ticipated in the initial invasion of North Africa and had fougftt in the Italian and Normandy campaign. Survivors include his father of Logan, and four sisters: Mrs. Eva Anderson, living in California; Mrs. Julia Nielsen of Smithfield; Mrs. Bessie Benson of Newton, and Mrs. Virginia King of North Logan. Missing : Prive First Class Bingham, 20, son of Wallace and Blanche Ko-foed Ko-foed Bingham of Logan, Wednesday Wed-nesday was reported missing in action Decemmeer 18 with an armored infantry unit in Luxembourg. Lux-embourg. A native of Logan he was born February 18, 1924 and attended Logan senior high school where he was a prominent athlete. He enlisted in the army April 1943 and trained at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., Camp Polk, La., and in Kentucky before going overseas over-seas in August. Awaiting further word are his parents, two brothers and two sisters, Colleen and Doyle Bingham Bing-ham of Ogden, Verdean and Michael Mi-chael Bingham of Logan, and a grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Kofoed of Ogden. Sergeant Wyatt, 22 son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wyatt of Wellsville Wells-ville was wounded seriously January Jan-uary 1 in action over Germany, his parents learned Wednesday. Waist gunner on a flying fortress fort-ress bomber, Sergeant Wyatt was reported wounded while fighting off enemy planes during a bombing bomb-ing mission. He is receiving medical medi-cal treatment at a base hospital in Europe. He entered the air corps in January, 1944, trained in Texas, Arizona and Florida, before going go-ing overseas June 6, 1944. He has been awarded the air medal. Private First Class Schiers, 20, son of Charles and Grace Weeks Schiers, of Logan, was wounded January 3 in Belgium and now is recovering medical treatment i in an army evacuation hospital.
