Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Neves and family of Ogden spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Brough. Larry Neves of Ogden spent the past week at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Winn. Mrs. Sarah Brough is visiting in Ogden at the home of her sister Mrs. Elnora Empey. Construction of the three runways run-ways and taxi strips will be completed com-pleted in about three weeks, W. W. Clyde, manager of the construction company said. Work is progressing rapidly on the control tower and lighting installation is expected to be finished in approximately 60 days. The runways will be more than 5,200 feet long and 500 feet wide, all asphalt surfaced. Boundary, directional and landing lights will be installed, along with two-way radio facilities. The completed airport will represent rep-resent an outlay of approximately $750,000 with $625,000 of the amount being appropriated by the federal government. p Logan city and Cache county have contributed contribut-ed the balance. The airport includes in-cludes more than 500 acres of land. Preliminary dedication plans call for a large public celebration, with representatives of the Civil Aeronautics Authority, the United States Corps of Engineers, WPA, CWA, Logan City and Cache county and state officials taking part. Governor Herbert B. Maw will be invited to attend. Joseph Bergin, State CAP Director Dir-ector has announced that more, than 50 Civil Air Patrol planes will fly to Logan for the dedication. dedica-tion. Hundreds of airmail cachets from all parts of the United States have been received by the chamber cham-ber of commerce and will be sent out with the first airmail shipment ship-ment at the airport on dedication day.
