S Sergeant Harry Fern spent the Christmas holidays visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fern Sr. and his wife, who lives at Logan. Sergeant Fern has been at Camp Pickett, Va., and is being transferred to Fort Jackson, Jack-son, South Carolina. Mrs. G. G. Sweeten and daughter daugh-ter of Salt Lake City, spent the holidays visiting with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Nilson. Lieutenant G. G. Sweeten, of Hondo, Texas arrived Christmas day and will remain with his wife and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Nilson for a week. Visiting with his wife, Mrs. Leone Benson is private Melvin Benson. Private Benson has been stationed in the Aleutians for nearly two years. Mrs. Cliff Porter entertained the Book Lurree Literary club's Christmas party at her home on Thursday evening. A Christmas story was given by Mrs. Walter Snelgrove. The remainder of the evening ws enjoyed playing games and exchanging gifts and singing Christmas songs. Special guests were Mrs. James Raymond and Mrs. Tom Mather. The program committee, which consists of Mrs. Bert Reese, Mrs. Glen Tout, Mrs. Arnold Nilson and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Reese were in charge of the party. Refreshments were served to 17 mmbers and the special guests. Mrs. Lowell Plowman entertained entertain-ed at a birthday party honoring her daughter Marilyn who was observing her 6th birthday on Monday. Games were played near a beautiful Christmas tree. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to 18 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Nilson, Mr. a'irl Mrs. Glen Tout and daughter Diane, spent Svmday and Monday, at Ogden.. Hattie Lower spent Monday at Lewiston visiting with Mr. and Mrs. tSeve Lower and family. Dr. and Mrs. Orson S. Daines and family of Ogden were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Nilson Thursday. E. R. Miles' and Leonard Miles of Salt Lake City were guests of their mother, Mrs. Annie Miles. Mrs. Miles is ill at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Crockett announce the arrival of a son, born recently at a Logan hospital. hospit-al. This is the first child for the young couple. Mrs. Isabel Bingham and family held a Christmas party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bingham of Amalga. Gifts were exxchanged. Luncheon was served to Mrs. Isabel Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Rose El wood of Smithfield; Mr. and Mrs. Percy Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bingham of Amalga, Mr. and Mrs. Omer Buttars But-tars of Lewiston, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Mitton of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Tueller announce an-nounce the arrival of a daughter born at the Budge hospital at Logan.
