Show Former Resident Of Smithfield Dies at Ogden OGDEN Henry Blackmor Fry, 64, former Morgan educator civic leader and churchman, died at his home 1008 24th street Tuesday at 12:20 a.m. of a heart ailment following a brief illness. Mr. Fry for a number of years was bookkeeper of the Morgan Canning company at Smithfield, Much of his life was spent hi teaching. He had been principal of the GrantsviUe high school and was the first principal of Morgan high school, which he was largely instrumental in founding. He later became Morgan county superin. tendent of scools. He also served ibis community as major and deputy dep-uty county recorder. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mabel Nelson Fry of Ogden, whom he married in Morgan July 27, 1904; two sons, Verle Fry of Los Angeles, Cal., and Burke Fry of Washington, D. C; four brothers and two sisters, Richard R., ' Thomas L. and George Albert Fry of Morgan; Charles Fry of Spring ville, Mrs. Flora Robinson and Mrs. May Crouch of Salt Lake City; and one grandson. Funeral services will be con- ducted Friday at 2 p.m. in the Morgan stake tabernacle. Burial will be in the South Morgan cemetery under direction of Lind-iuist Lind-iuist and Sons mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary mortu-ary Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. and at the residence Friday until 1 p.m. |
