Show Andrew B. Allen Services Held At Cove Ward Funeral services for Andrew Bickmore Allen, 81, were held Wednesday in the Cove ward chapel with Bishop Raymond L. Allen officiating. The speakers lauded the life of Mr. Allen, characterizing char-acterizing him as higlily successful success-ful and a man who lived as God had intended that man should live. He was a pioneer, a son of pioneer parents, a man who merited mer-ited the respect of all. This re-spect re-spect was abundantly shown by the large assembly of relatives and friends who filled the ward chapel. Speakers were President H. Ray Pond, Fred ,R. Titensor, Alma Hendricks and Bishop Allen. Mr. Titensor characterized the Allen family as the backbone ol the Cove ward. Charles Allen, he said, was the first presiding elder of the ward and ever since that time there has been a representative represen-tative of the Allen family in the ward bishopric. The musical numbers were rendered ren-dered by the singing mothers, a duet was by Lona Smith and Nellie Bagley, a duet by Neta and Gayethia Allen. Prayers were offered by Bishop L. H. Allen and Bishop H. Lester Bair. The grave In the Richmond cemetery was dedicated by M. H. Preece. |
