offices of the city company and was called for the purpose of choosing permanent seers and adopting a constitution t was fa frankly akly pointed out that the young men had felt that all party ii IL not wanted anted this idea sas as disavowed by dge F E woods woodda A J lee and others who matia dined that the young men had always been welcome in the party COUTIL Ils and conventions and that nothing had ever been done to kep them out the older men in the party patty assured the young oung men that they were more thin welcome and that they would be given a full hearing on all matters of party interest district attorney J W cherry vis pre ent and congratulated the young dpn behind the movement for the ion of the club stating that it could achieve prestige for it adf and its members and become ii a large factor in the campaign he ile suggested the adoption of a button or badge which would identify the members rs oscar hanson spoke at length on local conditions emphasizing the fact that factions should not exist to the detriment of the party and cliques and coteries should not be i permitted to dominate party action but that the young men of the town and county should be recognized in ill all part party matters dr cloward also spoke on the purposes pur of the organization stating that the club was to stand for clean men within the party and tor a clean c campaign L A mcgee also discussed the purpose and work of the club stator that he knew that the young men would be more than welcome in party activity to get the young republicans together and put large life into the club at the start it was voted to hold a banquet on the evening of july 8 with some noted outside speaker to deliver an address wives and sisters will be guests of the club members the temporary t
