Show UTAH COPPER FOOTBALLERS KEEP THEIR REP The Utah Copper "Soccer" footballers foot-ballers maintained their unblemished record at Salt Lake City on Saturday last when they battled for honors with the Rovers of Salt Lake and finished the ame with the score reading 4 to 0. J. Bryan of the Utah Copper team took his brother's place and Redmond Red-mond substituted for Duffy. Carr played his usual good game and was the medium through which two goals were scored in the first half. The Rovers tried hard but they could not do the finishing trick. Half time, Utah Copper 2, Rovers 0. The Rovers kept trying .but were turned back depeatedly by the Copper Cop-per halfbacks. Mannion again distinguished dis-tinguished himself by (scoring tfie third goal and not long afterwards E. Gaythwaite popped the fourth goal through. It looks like a cinch for the Copper to take the league bunting. J. H. Sedgley referred what he considers a good clean fast game. |
