| Show BRAVES TAKE GAME 32 26 LAST FRIDAY UY BY DAN SOMMERS morgan high school trojans sut suf their first defeat in summit division play at north summit last friday as the hard fight ing braves led the trojan team through the last two quarters of play to a 32 ag defeat playing on the braves home floor the trojans let the jinx continue for the ninth consecutive year in what is now becoming a tradition with the braves from the opening gun to the finish i both teams were hustling and fighting hard the trojans held a two point poi nt advantage through most of the t lie first half which proved to be the tightest part of the game the half ended 1710 17 10 in favor of the morgan squad at tire the beginning of the second half the braves controlled the jump and continued to do so throughout most of the rest of the play time racing down to score each succeeding jump at this time something happened to the trojan scoring power it seemed as though a lid had been put on the basket the boy s just could not no make the ball go through and scored just one point in the entire third period the score now favored the braves 2518 25 2 18 this quarter proved to be the difference in the game the hustling braves went on to lead the trojans who never closed the gap to less than three points difference top scores for morgan were johansen 6 olson 6 D francis 5 thackeray 4 M 1 francis 3 and loosli H ball of north summit scored 10 points to lead scoring for both teams |
