Show rites conducted for prominent coalville Co alville man funeral services were held in coalville Co alville friday for aecil blonquist ki well known banker rancher and former public official mr air blonquist died at his home after a short illness ile he was born bom in sweden february 10 IRA a son of larus and anna blonquist when abc he was six years old ho he was brought to utah by his va widowed mother the family settling in salt lake city ile he received his early schooling there and later attended brigham young academy at provo early in life his interests turned to farming and ra ranching in association with his brother alfred blonquist and others he e engaged in extensive livestock operations in summit county and in wyoming in ifton he be married emma staley daughter of chester and harriet staley at upton summit county mr air blonquist not only was an organizer of the first national dank bank of coalville Co alville but also of the summit furniture and alerc cantile co of coalville Co alville which is now owned and operated by members of his family he was a member of the north summit board of education in 1020 1929 and served as president for several terms he was an ac active t ive republican and a member of the C Co oal alville ville ward in 1914 he retired from the sheep business but continued to operate a farm and cattle ranch near coal ville besides his widow M mr r blonquist is survived by the following sons and daughters melvin vern and chester blonquist mrs airs benon B farrell mrs grace B price and mrs airs blanche B downs coalville Co alville mrs airs edna B deardon green river wyo and mrs airs lila woo woods ds evanston wyo also surviving are a grandson clarence keyes coal ville whom he reared V hi other grandchildren and four g great reat granchie grandchildren gran chil children dren and a brother G W blona blonquist aist richfield utah |
