Show OLDEST PIONEER OF MORGAN DIES 4 51 d I 1 NN ai I 1 i 4 8 77 A 3 MRS airs MARY MAKY ANN SIMMONS SMITH funeral services her vices for mrs airs mary ann simmons smith 94 oldest pioneer resident of morgan county will be conducted at I 1 p in today friday in the north morgan ward chapel rites will be directed by bishop joseph E rees mrs smith died tuesday at her home in morgan following an ill incident to age she was born july 18 1833 1853 in brighton engi england and daughter of george W and mary ann ford simmons Sim mona at the age of two years he came to the united states with her parents and crossed the plains to salt lake city where ae resided unta 1861 when she moved to morgan she was educated in morgan school chooh and had re aided there he xe ie r of her life on jan 20 1873 she was married to benjamin smith in the salt lake endo endowment ament house ile he died nov 5 1930 in alor morgan gan she was an active member of the L D S church and relief society surviving are the fol lowing following sons and daughters frank charles C william walter and archie smith and mrs annie S dickson morgan mrs airs mina ovard rehburg rexburg Rex burg ida 20 grandchildren 67 C great grandchildren and 20 10 great great grandchildren also the following brothers and sister who are past ki 87 years of age william G simmons big horn awo john J simmons oakley ida mr jul julia a walker farmington and mr laura gea rv preston ida |
