| Show funeral held june 28 for morgan native funeral services for moroni heiner ciner II 71 president and general manager of the utah fuel com pany were held monday june 28 at 5 p pm in the yale ward chapel in salt S alim lake 17 a ke city mr air heiner died friday in a salt lake hospital after a brief illness ile he was born bom in morgan feb 18 1877 a son of daniel and martha stevens heiner ile he attended the morgan academy and was graduated from the brigham young col lege in logan where he was active in athletics ile he taught school for four years and later served as state dairy and food commissioner for two years when he was instrumental in securing passage of pure food law he also was a salesman for new york life insurance company and in aw helped found castle valley coal company of which he became president united states fuel company was organized by mr air heiner in 1913 1915 as a successor to the castle valley company and he be served as president for 17 years when he became affiliated with the utah fuel company he was a former director of the utah coal operators association for four years in 1039 1939 he was elected one of three vice presidents of the national association and was the first utahn to be named to that position ile he has held more important positions and was a civic as well as an industrial leader one position which he held in morgan was that of president of the morgan canning company in 1927 and later was manager of the union portland cement company during its construction at devils slide surviving are his widow mrs eva L purnell Pur heiner whom he married in logan in ibos two daughters mrs lone ione wicks denver and mrs airs verna whipple salt lake city six sons glen P claude P frank P and daniel P heiner all of salt lake city albert P heiner oakland 11 brothers nephi john hanmer sylvester brent and henry heiner all of morgan george and heher heber heiner ogden roswell spencer and cash heiner salt lake city six sisters mrs airs sophia anderson mrs fannie croft mrs airs stella croft all of salt lake city mrs elizabeth thomas boise idaho mrs airs disc boyce los angeles and mrs adelgunda taggart of ogden 21 grandchildren and one great grand child |
