Show living pioneers honored at luncheon T the h e brigham brigha in young luncheon given june 4 in the stake tabernacle by south morgan camp daughters of utah pioneers was well attended honored guests present were mrs matilda peterson and fred dark clark both emi emigrant trant pioneers charles lizzie peterson jane foote and isabelle geary each native pioneers of the south morgan ward lucy lee emmiline fry and W E criddle also native pioneers were unable to attend because of illness each honored lady was presented with a corsage of pale blue iris and lilies of the valley while the men wore ros rosebud abuda in their lapels the relief society room was beautifully decorated with flowers the guest table displayed a large centerpiece and candles and the small tables were centered with bouquets of pansies invocation was offered by fred dark clark following the luncheon an address of welcome and tribute was given by capt jessie creager community singing of old time songs was followed by so songs from the harding children accod accompanied P acied by mis mils howard francis violin solo by richard rawle accompanied by rosella compton reading remember composed by mrs eliza rich and read by ivy francis and a vocal solo by renae rawle accompanied on the violin by her father richard rawle and rosella compton humorous inci incidents Jents of early days were given by mrs alit sophia grasse and the song long long ago by the entire group concluded a very enjoyable afternoon |
