| Show JUNIOR RED CROSS PREPARES XMAS PACKAGES K Q A rn p 4 41 these junior red cross members of morgan county prepare boxes of christmas cheer for overseas children seen here are larry little roger london coleen robinson Nl marilyn arilyn Mik mikesell osell gary randall andall It karl peterson jackie hopkin barbara rollins radell ll heiner einer sherolyn rogers jo rae rac olsen connie christensen luana bowman elizabeth wright shirley randall and tonya taggart robert whittier chairman of junior red cross fi raymond aymond larson elementary school principal and L W christensen Chris lensen superintendent give instructions on packing As a project of the junior red cross members of morgan schools lave have been busy this past we week ek filling christmas boxes for children in war torn countries overseas the project is being directed by robert whittier chairman of junior red cross activities the boxes are filled with such articles as paper pencils ils er erasers a sers crayons soap wash c claths cloths ji jtb t tooth 00 t brushes tooth paste balls and I 1 other scarce items aly badly needed hi in I 1 the war devastated lands enclose ed in each box is a card bearing the name of the schoot school and the teacher it is hoped that a reply will be received from the boys and girls who get the boxes the local students welcome the opportunity to participate in this activity through the medium of the junior red cross they realize tha that they can not be entirely happy in in a wor world id filled with suffering f I 1 in g and want unless they are doing their part to help such projects will do much to promote friendship good will and under standing between the people of all nations mr air whittier reports that we students of morgan schools are one hundred per cent enrolled in the american junior red cros lie ile wishes to thank the principals mr christensen and mr larson laron and the students and teachers for their cooperation ile he especially wishes to thank the teacher sponsors mrs airs dickson who is serving in the high school and the teacher sponsors of the elementary grades |
