Show morgan arts exhibit august 1 22 rules and regulations for centennial exposition are given by officials morgans home arts ech exhibits hibits for the centennial centennia I 1 exposition go on display august 1 to august 22 your contact women are going to assist you in getting your exhibits to the exposition A exhibits will be received at the morgan court house july 28 08 between the hours of a m and p in B they will have entry blanks for each exhibitor to file separate entry form and pay entry fee C entry fee is up to twelve exhibits GENERAL RULES 1 all entries of home arts must be the work of the exhibitor 2 all articles exhibited must be comple completa td 3 only one article can be entered in one class 4 unless specified by the exhibitor hi bitor the supervisor will classify articles 5 if colored tissue paper is used to set out the pattern in needlework dle work pastel tints should be used FOOD preservation SPECIAL RULES 1 only products of the home kitchens are eligible 2 products exhibited must have been prepared since september 1943 1945 by the person entering them 3 NOTICE two one quart jars constitute an exhibit for fruit vegetables and meat two one pint glasses or jars const constitute tute an exhibit for preserves fruit butter conserves pickles and relishes three half pint jelly glasses with lids constitute an exhibit for jellies and jams no paraffin one quart jar constitutes an exhibit for dried fruits and vegetables all jars must be labeled with name of product and date of canning 4 exhibitors will be permitted to make one entry only under each lot number 5 exhibitors will not be allowed to remove articles until the closing day of the fair 6 t exhibitors shall furnish their own plates of paper or china to display cakes cookies pies or candies 7 utah goods should be used as far as possible 8 all professionals are barred from making entries in this department A professional is one who makes these foods and sells for trade 9 twelve exhibits may be entered for 10 in fancy pack an exhibitor may enter two bottles of a kind but cannot compete against herself HOBBY EXHIBIT in order to make it possible for vast number of utahna to see some of these interesting hobbies and collections the utah state fair invites you to bring in your displays if you have a hobby collection which would be of interest to others we hope you will make arrangements ran range gemen ments ts to bring it to the fair or if you know someone who has such a collection we hope you will encourage them to participate cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded upon decision of the judges contact women are mrs eva jensen mrs eltie bell mrs vera carter miss margaret meeks |
