Show ogden livestock show Is set for november 2 to 6 OGDEN utah the an nual livestock show of ferin pre totaling approximately for best exhibits of cattle sheep and hogs bogs and affording advantages for both purchase and sale of stock will be held at the ogden union stockyards Stock yards november 2 to 6 the he exposition will not only at tract some of the nations top herds and flocks to compete in the judging contests but will provide an educational setting for those interested in studying the results of proper breeding and feeding prof programs rams as exemplified by the exhibits bib t the aim of the show is to encourage the raising of quality meat and breeding stock and to enable growers to find best markets ra agys ys and girls who have raised anim animals als as part of their 4 1 club and F F A chapter work are urged to contact their county agent club leader or agricultural instructor to receive entry blanks and aid in filling them out all entry notices are to be filed with the secretary of the ogden livestock show ogden utah on or before october 15 junior exhibitors this year will enter their fat and feeder carlot exhibits in the open classes to enable them to claim higher winnings w in all prize winning fat cattle sheep and hogs bogs including those in carlot classes will be offered to the highest bidders at special auctions to be held wednesday november 6 starting at a m feeder cattle sales will be held in the afternoon of the same day beginning at p m junior department entries must be in their stalls ready for the judging program no later thin than p m friday november I 1 all phases of the junior program will be run off during the first two days of the show saturday and sunday to enable a boys and girls to return to their school work as soon as possible one of the highlights of the junior program will be the fitting and showmanship contests with prize exhibits of cattle sheep and swine contestants will be required to fit and show their own animals in the ring and must provide 1 their own equipment |
