| Show PLANNING BOARD MEETING HELD HERE THURSDAY planning board meetings for the public were held in the school auditorium on thursday representatives of the state extension service and other state and federal agencies were present to participate in the program during the morning session reports were made by local people on oil conditions and recommendations AS as follows health conditions mrs M J da davies vies home conditions mrs mark thackeray home garden and beautification mrs andy nerson nelson irrigation carl phillips Phi lUps weeds weeds and seeds howard francis 4 H club work clarence rich and harriette Ha rrlette crops and markets county agent C R richards in the absence of T W butters called away on business county financial conditions clarence little these reports proved very interesting te the afternoon session was devoted to a discussion of the vailous problems and agencies in morran morgan county discussions were made by director william peterson ot of the U S A C extension servie hervle le assistant director W W owens assistant director tor for women myrtle davidson Dav ldson and dr 0 J wheatley of the extension service report of the state land use planning committee was made by george F stallings and member of the state committee in addition to the above discussion P H So reison representative enta tive of the engineers office discussed new reservoir sites and irrigation possibilities in the county R C of the farm security administration gave the ino a statement on the farm security program in morgan county 0 S quate state coordinator for the S C S spoke on the work being done in this section and in th the T state by the soil conservation service county agent richards reports that the meetings were only fairly well attended but those who were present were well paid for their time and effort |
