Show COUNTY COMMITTEE HOLDS MEETING IN OGDEN county agricultural conservation committees of weber davis morgan and summit counties attended a meeting in O ogden oden den monday afternoon county agent C R richards reports that the purpose of the meeting was to explain the crop insurance program as provided by the agricultural adjustment administration for the wheat crop of 1939 mr richards explains that the insurance applies only to wheat growers who desire to take advantage of the crop insurance feature in the program must make application before the wheat is planted the rate to be paid for the insurance will vary in the different counties and on the individual farms mr richards states that those figured thus far in morgan county will probably pay a premium of 11 tola bushels of wheat per acre per year the insurance covers such hazards as hail drouth insect pests etc sixt sixteen ee n in all the farmers may insure 50 percent or 75 percent of his normal yield as he may choose according accordia 0 to mr richards who attended the meeting at ogden he also explains that the premiums may be paid in wheat or in cash at the market price of wheat at the time the insurance policy is obtained CO county anty committee members from morgan county who attended the meeting were howard Ft francis ancis and J A parrish mrs ida reis and daughter ot of oakland california are visiting at the home of her parents mr and mrs thomas palmer mr and mrs J T carruth of oakland california were guests thursday at the home borne of mr and mrs J J johnson mr and mrs airs S A francis announce the birth of a baby son june 22 at the dee hospital miss melba francis of salt lake city spent the week end at the lome home of her parents mr and mrs gilbert francis |
