| Show red cross will wi hold swim meet M beet the davis county chapter of the tied lied cross will be represented by rulon haacke south bountiful and wayne winegar west bountiful when the national red cross holds a special first aid and aquatic school at como springs morgan county utah july 6 18 16 this announcement was made today by mrs F B muir chapter chairman the student body of this unique school where everyone learns by doing will comprise leaders in physical education and recreation fields camp directors and others responsible for public sa safety fety a at t resorts and camps plans are be being I 1 n g made for the enrollment of 75 students there will toe be instruction in first aid and accident prevention swimming diving life saving canoeing and water games students will assemble for safety seminars and their oral instruction will be supplemented by red cross motion pictures dealing with varied phases of safety work the como springs school will be supervised by edwin H carroll director of first aid and life saving pacific branch american red y cross san francisco instructors have been chosen for their proficiency in presenting first aid and aquatic school subjects carl F belliston Belll ston of salt lake city will be school director and give instruction st in the new life saving technique which the national red cross offers this year dr W B preston of the utah state agricultural college at logan Is on the staff for special lectures dr keith barnes of kays ville will conduct a special first aid class and serve as camp physician ralph E carlson of portland oregon director of the red cross first aid and aquatic school a at t Gw inwood washington june 2030 20 30 will be at como springs to conduct special life saving and canoeing classes vernon merrill chairman of first aid and life saving for the utah county chapter at provo will give instruction in first aid and swimming n ferron losee swimming instructor tor at weber college utah will direct other swimming classes |
