Show GIRLS SUMMER PROGRAM IN TIIE THE SUMMIT MORGAN DISTRICT health and recreation are arc to lie be featured with regular projects in the unified summer program tor for girls in the summit morgan district sponsored by the agricultural extension service and the home living committees of the county planning board in cooperation with vocational home economics instructors 4 H club leaders and other organizations interested in promoting girls activities the 4 11 Is the symbol of the junior I 1 extension service program with young people and 1940 offers a new challenge for fine correlated effort county planning committees have recommended a correlation of activities to the best interests of the girls in organizing tor for the 4 H summer projects to meet this request it Is reci commended om mended that each mm community have a 4 H advisory council who are actively interested in girls and who will be ready to assist 4 H leaders in building a a fine program to eliminate long distance travel to 4 H leadership meetings the county will jle be divided into six districts and during the summer the leaders will meet in the different comman communities etim mothers of club girls will be invited to attend these leader meetings so ao that they may better understand the program and cooperate with the leaders the 4 H junior extension service program will be divided into two major divisions 4 H junior girls ages 1215 12 15 4 H seniors ages 1521 15 21 associated 4 11 beehive girls gleaner girls or girl scouts may carry 4 H 11 extension projects and on the approval of the leaders of these groups receive special credit when the 4 ir H project is completed as indicated by records in county extension office girls enrolled in 4 H clubs who will be receiving vocational home economics high school credit must meet the requirements set by the home economics instructor parents are urged to cooperate with leaders to insure an early organization of groups |
