| Show WILDLIFE federation MEET NAME OFFICERS OUTLINE THEIR PLANS A broad program for the debei development ol of morgan county into a sportsmans Sports S mans center was formal formulated at by the officers of the morgan wildlife federation at a meeting heldi held monday evening april 8 j local businessmen were cepres 1 eted E at the meeting by john hein j er dr E M abbott abbott and gilbert francis who expressed their views on wildlife conservation and the community benefits to be deri derived vedi i I 1 from an increase in wildlife rs re burces newly elected officers are J balei dale Ec schott hott president rulon francis Franc ls 1 bill morgan and dewey taggart vice presidents and delbert ron con sec treas I 1 j A membership drive for both senior or and junior members Is under way with a goal of members ty june 1st ast the organization plans to offer its services to the utah fish andi and game commission U S bureau kofl of fisheries morgan SOS neighboring I 1 wildlife clubs and other I 1 eions interested in the countus coun tys fishing streams hope was expressed I 1 that all stocking would be completed a month ahead of the opening date that fish would become stream wise 11 the organization plans to establish a clubroom with a wildlife library and a small bore rifle ra range the purposes of the organization as outlined by J dale schott president are as follows I 1 to sponsor a coordinated game management program in the interest of the landowners the sports 1 men and the general public 2 to recognize the proper property tv rights of the landowners and to male make every effort to protect him from irresponsible shooters and fishermen wanton destruction 0 of 1 farm property and livestock is not I to be tolerated 3 to initiate a program of purchasing or leasing local wasteland areas fencing and planting adapt f pd fd d food and cover crops crons for fe 4 to encourage the tanners farmers and launchers lan ian chers to form their own game management projects and to support legislation which will recognize the landowners right to compensation i pensa tion for a game c crop rop produced as the result of a coordinated game management program on his farm or ranch 5 to promote more skillful andl and scientific game management and stocking of streams with fish by cooperating with game officials conservationists and conservation organizations 6 to sponsor sportsmens Sports mens rallies and other social activities 7 to promote a cooperative spirit good fellowship clean sportsmanship and fair play |
