| Show porterville BRIEFS A shower in honor of mr and mrs clyde porter was given in the porterville gym november the evening was spent in dancing during intermission a program was rendered after which a very nice lunch was served many beautiful and useful presents were received and everyone present reported a very enjoyable time the music for the dancing was furnished by the shamrock orchestra of ogden who were friends of clyde the reorganization organization re of the daughters of the pioneers was held at the home of mrs lydia white friday november mrs martha mrs edna and mrs electa porter were retiring officers and mrs lydia white mrs eva and mrs weltha orton were elected to take their places members of the i stake camp of morgan mrs maa agle gle francis mrs mary chadwick and mrs ellza eliza rich special guests were elizabeth mcdonald of salt lake city and miss erma enna rich of morgan mrs eleeta electa porter give a history of her pioneer days mrs chadwick read a history of the pioneer days of mrs dora marker mrs mable carter read a chapter of the history of utah and mrs francis gave a short talk after which a nice lunch was enjoyed by all present the little daughter of mr and mrs thos carter has been quite sick for the past week with some sort of ear infection Ls is some isome better at this writing mrs alice Plo renoe is very sick at this writing mrs victor shaw spent the week end at logan mr and mrs win vm kershaw of park paric city spent the week end here 6 A surprise party was waa given at the home of mrs lydia white saturday ev evening erAng nov in honor of mrs justin porter who is going to logan for the winter to work in the temple thirty one of the relief society and daughters of the pioneers were in attendance R ip 1 rendered and very nice lunch was served after which a gift of appreciation pre clation was presented to mrs porter by the two organizations all present reported a very enjoyable evening miss mim emily brough bro ugh of mrs wm win adderly and ws mrs wm bott of ogden are staying at the home of mrs alice aldee florence mrs florence porter porky who has had been working in wyo returned home last Q week weak mr johni john of burley I 1 spent a few days here he |
