OCR Text	ALL ABOUT THE P philosopher IL apher short essay cay evidently written by one on familiar with this species of animal A philosopher is laa isa a man and r rarely a rely is a woman who having nothing to do and being glad of it puts in his time almo explaining the reason that other people should have for or doing things philosophers are no popular because ca so in the first place most men are too td busy to fo listen to them and in the second place they are satisfied with their own reason leason for doing things nevertheless philosophers are wont to toward comfortable stoves in corner groceries where men of varying leisured lei lel straggle in and towards comfortable chairs in universities where belp helpless youth are compelled to listen as a part ot of an awful punishment called a curriculum whenever a philosopher becomes famous it always turns out that lie he Is not a philosopher at all but a simon pure philosophers never give elvo information because nothing less than explaining the unknowable wilt will satisfy them one philosopher will never agree with another philosopher it if he can possibly help it IL lite life
