F TORONTO Secretary of State SEAL 70 7 0 Reuben and Ann Buchanan and son Gail returned last Wednesday fr from m a mile trip to Elmandorf Air Force Base Alaska where they visited visited visit visit- ed their son and daughter in law and family Duane and Viola Buchanan The reported that the first miles of their journey to Anchorage was not very enjoyable They covered a stretch of 1221 miles of dusty road which was like a washboard They were also plagued by the trees which were close to the road This trip required 6 days They reported that Anchorage Anchor Anchor- age was very beautiful They also noted that although Anchorage Anchorage An An- has been cleaned up the holes are still visible inthe in inthe inthe the ground Ann noted that all Alaska at least the Anchorage Anchor Anchor- age area must have dropped six feet because the ocean tides are now making their marks six feet higher than previously The spent seven days visiting their family and then started their return jour jour- ney They boarded the Alaskan Ferry on which they traveled miles in 30 hours They saw whales and porpoises on their water They then return home via Spokane and Idaho highways taking a weeks week's time for the return trip Pat Patterson of Knoxville Tennessee was a guest for three days last week of Mrs Albert Anderson and her daughter Margaret Pat was wasen wasen wasen en route to Berkeley Calif Reed and Joan NielSon and five children of San Jose Calif are vacationing vacationing vaca vaca- in Manti ManU for 10 days They will be guests of Joans Joan's parents Mr and Mrs Jannice Nielson and also Reeds Reed's father fath fath- er Alton and daughter Norma From Provo Mr and Mrs Howard Hatch and infant son came for a weekend visit with Howards Howard's brother Roy Hatch and wife Janette Mr and Mrs Mrs Kenneth Stephenson and family from Bountiful spent the weekend at the home of Mr and Mrs Jay E E.
