Conservation Committee Committee Committee Com Com- will be open to comment from citizens who may present oral remarks or place written statements on record Those desiring to comment on the proposed code may mall mail their statements to Executive Secretary Utah Air Conservation Committee Committee Committee Com Com- 44 Medical Drive Salt Sail Lake City Utah A code of regulations has been drafted for presentation at the meetings It reads as follows 1 No open burning shall bedone bedone be bedone done at sites used for dis disposal disposal disposal dis- dis of community trash re refuse refuse refuse re- re fuse garbage or other wastes except upon application and when specifically authorized by bythe bythe bythe the Air Conservation Committee Commit Commit- tee after appropriate hearing 2 No person shall burn any refuse trash garbage or other wastes in any open fire except in conformity with the provisions provisions provisions pro pro- visions of Regulations 3 and 4 below 3 When not prohibited or otherwise regulated by local or ordinances ordinances or- or or regulations the following types of open burning burning burning burn burn- ing are permissible without the necessity of securing a permit permit permit per per- mit at any location in the state a. a In devices for the primary primary primary mary purpose of preparing food such as outdoor grills and fireplaces provided that they are not used for burning of refuse trash garbage or other wastes b b. b Camp fires used solely for recreation purposes purposes purposes pur pur- poses where such fires are properly controlled by a responsible responsible responsible res res- party and no nuisance nuisance nuisance nuis nuis- ance is created c. c Indoor fireplaces provided provided provided pro pro- vided that they are not used for burning of refuse trash garbage or other wastes d. d Properly operated industrial industrial industrial indus indus- trial flares for combustion of flammable gases e. e Orchard
