L Reid LodIcy Lodicy Lodicy Lod- Lod Icy and Millie K K Kerr From the beginning they fol followed followed followed fol- fol lowed rules of parliamentary procedure and the minutes of their meetings tell of the many club projects and community activities At present the club roster exceeds 80 members who are awaiting the diamond Jubilee year of activity in keeping with the club motto Our bur ur hopes the highest living for the best On Thursday afternoon at 4 pm p.m. a special commemorative annual day will be held In the club rooms It Is expected that several Utah Federated Club of officers officers officers of- of will attend Including former for for- mer Manti resident Margaret Anderson and the state presIdent president president dent Mrs John D. D Long In scanning through the clubs club's history it was noted that the club sponsored an annual oratorIcal oratorical oratorical ora ora- contest for many years In the high school and later participated In several community community community com com- beautification projects gaining state recognition They have continually contrIbuted contributed contributed contri contrI- buted books to the childrens children's corner of the Manti library and have supported such projects as the tennis courts boys boys' club city park improvement and many others Recently they renovated the club rooms In the lower floor of the library Among the outstanding wo women men who have served as president have been at least three mothers mothers mothers moth moth- ers and daughters Mrs Erastus Erastus Erastus Eras- Eras Jensen and Ada J J. J Ellason Eliason Mrs Wilford and Vera and Mrs P. P C C. C Madsen and Edna M M. M Kunz Two pairs of sisters have also served as presidents of the club Mrs Stanford Madsen Madsen Madsen Mad- Mad sen and Mrs Wilford and Mrs Hal Lowry and Mrs Della Delia K K Cox Several have gone on to become be become become be- be come district officers and two have gone on to become president president president dent of the Utah State Federation Federation Feder Feder- of Women's Clubs Mrs H H.
