Show Three Judges fudges Name Winners In Sanpete Writing Contest An enthusiastic telephone report report re report re- re port from Mr Leland Anderson one of or the judges of the Stake Historical Writing Contest which concluded on August 1st announced that the judges had unanimously selected 1st 2nd and 3rd place winners In each division of the contest Mr Anderson said they were very pleased with the fine quality of material submitted and only wished that more of the entries could have placed as winner because of their excellence Mr Anderson also reported that each poem submitted was very fine along with the entries in the short story and essay divisions which were also very good A total of 18 entries was submitted in the writing contest showing good participation even though the announcement of the t t t on 1 three con es L came Bailie ou y mi cc weeks before the final closing date The oldest contestant was 96 the youngest 17 or 18 Entries were received mostly from Ephraim and Manti but they alto also came from other towns in the county The contest was representative with entries from as far north as Fairview and south to Centerfield Winners will wUl be announced at atthe atthe atthe the Sanpete County Fair Look for booklets containing the winning winning winning win win- ning entries which will be available available avail avaU- able for sale at the fair |
