Show Sanpete Voters Il Give Gibe Majorities 1 To Democrats I D DEWEY E W E Y WARREN HANSEN I WOOLLEY BAGNALL AND l BLACKHAM ONLY REPUBLICANS REPUBLICANS TO GET I MAJORITIES IN SANPETE COUNTY COUNTY It Sanpete voters Tuesday gave majorities majorities majorities ma ma- to nearly neady all the Democratic candidates rather than to their Republican Re Republican Re- Re publican opponents Governor Maw was given the smallest majority how however ver his total vote in Sanpete being only three greater than the total ballots cast for Lee Even at that this was one of very few counties in which the Governor was given a larger vote than his Republican opponent Dewey received exactly more I votes in the county than did Pres i I I Truman the unofficial unofficial according to cial tabulation at the county court house Warren Warden however received k more votes than Barkley the lit I tabulation showed s I IThe J The also gave Elias Hansen a 1 nice hand by casting 56 more votes for for him than for McDonough McDonough McDonough Mc Mc- t Donough his Democratic opponent I for the supreme court And Dilworth Dilworth Dilworth Dil- Dil worth Woolley was given a very fine vote for judge of the Seventh Judicial District the highest vote I I received by any Republican in San San- I 1 pete I I Yet neither of these four Republicans Republicans was elected by the people of I Ithe the nation state or judicial district I In the thc county offices however it was a bit different The voters in I District 2 gave J. J R. A Wallace 38 and Farrell Dobbs 9 votes for president and Glen H.
