Show BACK FROM TRIPA TRIP TRIPA A group of seven Manti people re returned returned returned re- re turned Sunday evening from front a trip through southern Utah an and the states to the south The group included Mr and Mrs Frank Cox Mr and Mrs Albert Anderson Mrs Mary Mrs W. W G G. G and Mrs Ellice Moffitt The went first to the Kaibab Forest then down through the forest to Grand Canyon and fol followed followed followed fol- fol lowed the south rim of the Canyon around to Me Mesa a Arizona The Manti folks went through the Mesa Temple on Wednesday V evening Also while in Mesa they visit visited d some Manti ex-Manti people They called at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank Thurston and report Mr Thurstons Thurston's health is much improved Lee Thurston is enrolled in school is jn in the school band i and is overcoming his homesickness They were thrilled at being able to pick olives and oranges and at being able to pull fresh vegetables in the Thurstons Thurston's garden The group also called on Mr and Mrs Miss Byron G. G Cox who operate a grocery store just outside Mesa The Cox family are all well and happy except for son Scott who is just getting getting getting get get- ting over the measles They picked lemons in the Coxs Cox's yard Much thrilled with meeting these former fonner Manti ManU people and finding them well the group went on to Phoenix where they visited Mrs J J. J J. J Jensen also a former who lives at atthe atthe atthe the home of her daughter Mrs Marion Marion Marion Mar Mar- ion Jolley On the final lap of the journey Mr and Mrs Frank Cox left the others and went on to California to visit with their son sort Clair and his wife in Los Angeles The folks added another temple to tl their list lisl when they visited the St. St George temple as they returned home In all they travelled almost eighteen hundred miles and seem very pleased with the whole trip |
