P Ashworth Richfield general manager of Telluride Power company was one of four outstanding I in Utah National Parks council to re receive receive receive re- re the coveted Silver Beaver award at the annual meeting of the council held in Provo last Saturday evening This is the highest honor awarded to local volunteer by the National National National Na Na- Council Boy Scouts of Amer Amer- ica The citation given to Mr Ashworth Ash- Ash Ashworth Ashworth worth reads as follows Here is the record of a man whose Service Is outstanding he having been active on every very committee committee committee com com- having to do with Community improvement He has been a leader among his business associates and for several years has served as chairman of the American Red Cross Chapter in the county in which he resides Always a faithful church worker he has has been hns' been especially lly active in High Council and Sunday School work For more than thirty years this man has been an ardent disciple of Scouting Scouting Scouting Scout Scout- ing and youth work In keeping with the Divine admonition he is a doer of the Word Vord not a hearer only His service in the National Parks council and before that in the Salt Lake council has been outstanding not only in bringing the program to the boy but also in the field of public public public pub pub- lic relations resulting in a n high de degree degree degree de- de gree of Community support His efforts in council district and in institutional institutional institutional in- in capacities have done much to extend the Ule scope and influence of Scouting over a wide area aiea throughout the state of Utah He is at present serving the concil as finance chairman of the newly organized Fish Lake Section 0 a r Dude and Helen Braithwaite and Miss Ruby Hoggan all of Springville were Manti visitors last week end |
