Show Manti WOman Bask Back From World Trip On January 11 Mrs Airs Dorothy Larson arrived at the Salt Lake I the day before she left West Vest Berlin City Airport at am a.m. Only Germany What a fitting climax to a marvelous European tour I 27 jet via Chicago and New hew T York October by Mrs Airs Larson left I there was a 5 hour stopover in London England City En route to her tour I Mrs Larson during Scotland Accompanying Glasgow were three nephews Jan Christensen of Salt Lake but a former I and David Earl Christensen bothof both bothof Marti Manti resident Parry Christensen I but formerly a Moroni loroni of Salt Lake McCoy cCoY Livingston of Colorado resident and Donald Nash Salt Lake City were also in the party I After their visit in England they Uley flew to Hamburg Germany Ger Ger- many There they picked up a car and sojourned through Holland They spent 5 days there attending Paris PaNS route to and Belgium e en n I th the kY- kY kYr Jaycee r I International World Congress one of the purposes for their trip Following the Congress they continued their venture through southern France where they visited Lourdes a most impressive impressive sive place On Thanksgiving day they were in Madrid 1 Spain Continuing on with their travel they proc proceeded ded to the French Riviera Monaco 1 Monte 1 Carlo and San Moritz 1 Switzerland and through Italy The I leaning aning Tower of Pizza and anda a gondola ride sparked the trip After two days in Rome they visited San Marino 1 San Marino fanno is a fairy tale-like tale place Its It's only 18 square miles and consists of ofa ofa ofa a storybook castle situated on a high hill Next they Uley motored through Venice Trieste Yugo- Yugo na Austria Munich and Frankfort Frankfort Frankfort Frank Frank- fort Germany In Germany they stayed at the home of Mr and Mrs 1 Willard Villard Gardner the for- for mer Doris Keller of Manti and I also visited Mr 11 and Mrs 1 Dennis Carbine the former Valois Nielson Nielson Nielson Niel- Niel son of Manti lanti Via Denmark they flew to Oslo Norway By boat through the fabulous fjords and plane they arrived in Molde Norway They spent Christmas there with some friends of Jans That evening they attended sacrament meeting meeting in Elder Cook from Orem asked to be remembered remembered remembered to Mr and Mrs 1 Winston inston Crawford After a typical smorgasbord smorgasbord smorgasbord they flew to Stockholm and Helsinki Finland They then boarded the train for Leningrad and Moscow I Four Mormon 1 missionaries were on the same train Their New Years Year's Eve arrival in Moscow 1 took them themI to a New Years Year's celebration at atthe atthe atthe I the hotel Its It's interesting to note that Russia does not celebrate Christmas I On January 4 they flew to Warsaw Poland then a visit to Prague Czechoslovakia By train they saw East Germany Crossing the iron curtain they arrived in inVest West Vest Berlin This is the airport where Mrs 1 Larson boarded for her return trip to the US U.S. She had a wonderful time and notes that she appreciates home and her country more than ever Of course this is only a brief ac account account account ac- ac count of her schedule The thousand thousand thousand thou thou- sand and one things she saw are too numerous to mention May we say however welcome home |
