Show warning the telluride Tel lunde power company who own and operate several miles of for ty thousand volt power lines in mill ard county which lines are used td furnish electric service to all of the towns in ithe the county are constantly endeavoring to give its patrons the very best possible uninterrupted elec tri trio service I 1 0 thi end they have spent large suns of money in building parallel lines sectionalizing sub stations and connecting lines to other companies also the employees are constantly aix oix on the lookout tor for any trouble that may cause Int eruptions to service and for any thing that may be done to im prove the service A great deal can be done by our customers to aid in our efforts to give you this uninterrupted service just recently lit it was necessary for our linemen to replace more than tit ty high tension insulators on the sec tion of the forty four thousand volt line beewen fillmore and delta the greater number of replacements boing made on the section of line be tween fillmore and holden sub sta tion we are certain these tors were broken by persons who in their desire tor for tun fun or wishing to be smart did not realize just what it means to everybody when these in sula tors are broken to the power company it means a great expense and annoyance that in 10 the end must be borne by the cus bomers to the customer it means an in te to service some ot of it at a time of day or night when this ser vice is badly needed wouldn t one ol 01 the tile smart alecks shooting the in sula tors be proud of himself it if he were to shoot the line down at a time when one of the doctors at fillmore or delta was in the middle of a very serious operation and through the lack of electric service caused by this thoughtlessness the operation would fail and the patient die to the public such thoughtlessness means a hazard to life and property A high tension insulator being shot at may break down at any time and drop a high voltage wire arross a road where a traveler might run into it causing a serious accident it might drop the wire on a fence and in this way kill any people or live stock coming in contact with the fence or as has happened in a num her bar of cases the high voltage wire in dropping may star a tire fire causing serious property loss we are asking the cooperation of I 1 everyone concerned in this matter I 1 I 1 and will give a very liberal rewards reward for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of anyone caught willfully shooting at or breaking the insulators and equip ment on our power lines TELLURIDE POWER COMPANY by L R fournier Fourn ler general superintendent mrs airs rulon starley entertained the saturday bridge club at her home on saturday afternoon twelve ladies were present the members and mrs A 0 gardner mrs airs mitchell bell won first prize at cards and mrs A L strang the consolation refreshments were served albert reid and grant ekins drove to salt lake city last week end on the way up they stopped in provo to call on oil grant a father john E ekins and on the next day saturday they received word in salt lake city that mr air ekins had died suddenly of heart attack mrs claude fitch and mrs A greenwood drove to provo friday and returned saturday on friday night they attended a convention banquet at the roberts hotel tor for the southern utah representatives of the Ex celsis products mr and mrs joe goodworth of Co coalville alville are spending thanksgiving day in delta with their daughter mrs claude fitch and ther son mr richard goodworth ross eldredge of the rudy pat rick seed co left delta on monday tor for los angeles after a stay here of several days mr ur and mrs charles peppard and daughter bonnie jo are expected to arrive in delta wednesday tor for a sta of several months the peppard were driving through from kansas city where they have made their I 1 1 i bone llila year |
