Show resolution in honor of WILLIAM B HIGGINS member of the bar of the state of utah former district attorney of 0 the fifth judicial district ourt court WHEREAS at the call ot of divine providence our much esteemed brother at the bar william B higgins passed from this mortal sphere ot of action on thursday the twenty third day of may in the year of our lord one thousand nine hundred thirty ive five after a life tilled filled with active generous energetic service in the interest ot of the people ot of the state of 0 utah and WHEREAS the passing ot of our brother brings grief and a great sense of loss not only to his big noble wife and family but to his associates at the bar and to thousands ot of friends throughout the state NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the members ot of the bar ot of the fifth judicial district ot of utah that we express to the bereaved wife and family ol of our departed brother our heartfelt lasting sympathy and our united hope that their grief may be assuaged by the merciful interposition ot of divine providence william B higgins through bis big own initiative and determination arose from a lowly position in life to one ot of prominence among his follow fellow men ile he became learned in the law and devoted his time and talents in working for or what he believed to be right he was a man ot of exceptional courage and energy and ot of outstanding integrity in recognition of his outstanding ability he was many times chosen to fill prominent positions in his city county district and state and tilled filled such positions in a manner creditable to himself and to his profess the fifth judicial district of 0 the state of 0 utah has suffered a great loss 1033 by the passing of william B higgins and his memory will be ever cherished by thousands who knew him best BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we spread upon the records ot of the fifth judicial district court memorial of the esteem and aftel affectionate regard in which we and thousands ot of other citizens ot of the state of utah held our friend and associate ADOPTED by the fifth judicial district bar of 0 the state ot 0 utah by and through the undersigned undersigner under signed committee this day of may A D 1935 WILL L HOYT E VANCE WILSON GEORGE C MILLER J at FOSTER DURHAM MORRIS ELLIS J PICKETT committee by J at poster chairman |
