Show LARGE SHIPMENT OF GRAIN RECEIVED FOR EAST MILLARD thirty tour four carloads ot of crushed wheat one carload ot of bran and one carload 0 of flour were received at the fillmore and greenwood depots part saturday and part tuesday and were distributed among the people 0 of fillmore holden olden II scipio meadow kanosh flowell and Pa Pah vant livant the grain for the relief ot of livestock and the flour to be distributed among the needy families of east millard th this is large shipment of grain came from the government store houses and was distributed tree free through the agency ot of the red cross and local committees it was apportioned as equally as possible among the people of 0 the various communities on the basis of tile the number of livestock for which the owners did not have sufficient f feed another shipment Is expected saturday final apportionment will be made when the last shipment arrives much credit is due the officers of the red cross and the local committees who undertook the tremendous task of distributing this grain and flour they have given freely of their time and thought and no doubt have been caused considerable worry they have made every effort to keep the distribution fair air and to see that everyone got his full share ac cording to his needs however la in an all undertaking as large as this it Is probable that some few inequalities fe or errors may have crept into the d n W i human effort could scarcely lyl tit such a thing therefore I 1 it t should be born in mind that those who had the matter in charge have done their level best that this large shipment ot of wheat heat cannot help but benefit the country greatly even though some individuals may seem to have bene fitted slightly more than others |
