| Show MILLARD DISTRICT THIRTY SEVEN NEW TEACHERS forty tour four teachers left the district in the spring of 1927 thirty seven were employed to take their places thus a savin saveng ot seven teachers was effected the causes for or leaving were as follows 5 returned to school 11 married and retired 25 went to other districts the following lowing reasons being given tor for tile the change a 2 or 3 were promoted b 15 wanted a change c 1 or 2 were nere unhappy hero here d 7 were not offered con tracts 1 1 went on a mission 2 left the profession of those coming in eleven are lt la the three high schools and twenty five are in the elementary schools of those coming to high schools all except one have degrees one has haa an al A three are in home economics there are two new coaches two to new men in agriculture and two new shop men which means that we have one holdover in each of 0 these departments we have one new high school principal and two hold overs twelve of the elementary ipala apala are hold overs two taught in our district last year and are well acquainted with our program the other two are new men here 0 mr air harold ashman however lives here and the other mr ray utley comes from sevier of the teachers of beginners begin nerg 13 are hold bold overs and most of them are strong successful stul teachers in our district four are coming into iv c district but have splendid ratings and should be strong ot of the 25 in elementary schools who are new 11 are experienced and 14 are teaching tor for the first year however they had all had training experience ot of the 14 elementary teachers who begin with us 9 of them are graduates ot of the normal courses of tile the university ot of utah one comes filin the U A C three come from rom the B Y U and one comes from another church school of 0 the seven high school teachers who are teaching tor for the first tinie time one comes from the university of utah jive five from the U A C and one from the D B Y U these five teachers from the U A C are divided among the three schools and are all engaged in home economics agil culture and shop work |
