Show THE KIND WORDS CLUB ISJREVIVED The noon luncheons, which a couple cou-ple of years ago, were so popular, hero in Milford, have been started again. The first one of the new series ser-ies was he Ul Wednesday noon, when about thirty gathered around the tables ta-bles at the Atktn hotel to enjoy the pood things both substantial and windy. Karl S. Carlton presided and announced the subject as one which he had heard discussed at a Mining Men's dinner last Saturday, at the Salt Lake Commercial club: What's the MJator With Utah.." only he substituted Milford for I'tah. M. Reisner acted as time-keeper and the meeting held strictly to the five minute rule. Sam Cline was the first speaker. He held that lack of cooperation was one of the big things which win the matter of Milford. He believed that the noon lunches of a couple of years ago were the best and brought the best results of anything that had been tried and said he was heart in favor of continuing them. Hickman. Reisner, Bowman and others addressed . Bavter said the people of the town should have faith in their town and let every one know they had faith in it and upon his motion, mo-tion, a committee composed of Carl-ior. Carl-ior. Cline and Kirk, was appointed r formulate plans for a booster organization or-ganization and submit them to the luncheon next Wednesday. Messrs Blumberg. Kirk. Markham and others thought a committee should be named to work with a committee frim the Elks, in arranging arrang-ing a Fourth of July celebration Ujwman s-.ggested that the committee com-mittee also work with a like committee com-mittee from the town council. This wjs agreed to. The chair appointed Markham. Blumberg. Dobson and Fot.rnier. The next lunch will he at the Milford Mil-ford hotel Wednesday. 12 o'clock sharp, at which time the committee on permanent organization of a Com mercial elnb will be considered |
