Show Encouraging Industry The governor general of Madagascar and dependencies has granted to f French company a concession of 25, 000 hectares (a hectare is 2.47 acres) on the west coast of Madagascar for the growing of vegetable textile fiben to be used In the manufacture of hags. If, within four years, the grantees construct a factory with a minimum capacity of 625,000 bags annually, an additional 25,000 hectares will be put at their dlspostal, according to report from Consul James G.
