Acknowledgement Ac-knowledgement is hereby made of the fact that thiB practice has reacted react-ed with unquestionable force on the prominence of the local and national aspect of the American Red Cross in the eyes of the people. As a matter of fact, the State Press association takese just pride in having as us head he soulful timber impersonated in the Carlton's. The undersigned deem it a privilege privi-lege to tender a special vote of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Carlton, primarily for the liberal and continuous publicity publi-city given by them to Red Cross matters mat-ters hitherto, and to assure them moreover of a large measure of appreciation ap-preciation of the "climax" afforded by the Press of last week, November 21. It would be difficult to estimate the effectiveness of he entire issue, as a final summons to the Eighth Red Cross roll call, including the President's roll call letter, as it appeared ap-peared in the exceedingly well-bal-lanced makeup of the front page along with Thanksgiving poem; two local Red Cross items on the good back page, and numerous local liners lin-ers Interspercing both. During the several years of their residence in Beaver County, Mr. and Mrs. Carlton have endeared themselves them-selves to the entire community, as in every instance tending to worthy ends they have been an inspiration.
